About this game

The age of gekokujo, 1560.

On the eve of Okehazama, the Ashikaga shogunate has lost its authority and Kyoto lies in the hands of the Miyoshi.
Takeda Shingen of Kai and Nagao Kagetora of Echigo sharpen their blades for a fifth clash at Kawanakajima.
Imagawa Yoshimoto, "the finest archer of the Tokaido," marches west with a great army —
and on his road stands Owari, home of a young lord everyone calls "the Great Fool."

Who will take the realm?

■ GEKOKUJO IS A SYSTEM, NOT A SCRIPT
When a lord is a child, weak, or disgraced, his retainers can seize the house — in any clan, including yours.

■ IKKI — THE FIRE STARTS AT HOME
More daimyo fell to their own peasants than to their neighbors. Let Order fall, and the straw banners rise.

■ THE TEPPO CHANGES THE RULES OF WAR
The battlefield before Tanegashima is not the one after it, and Nagashino changes it again.
Doctrine shifts as the decades pass.

■ TAKE CASTLES WITHOUT DRAWING A SWORD
Send envoys and win the trust of local lords, and they will submit — castles, troops, walls and all.
