Lightning Tracker & Radar Map helps you understand storm activity before it reaches you. See live lightning flashes, a radar map, storm alerts, saved places and forecast context in one focused weather safety app.

Powered by NOAA GOES GLM and EUMETSAT MTG-I1 LI satellite data, Lightning Tracker shows recent lightning flashes on a fast map, clusters active strikes into storm zones, and keeps the last update visible so you know when data is fresh. Coverage includes the Americas, the Atlantic, Europe, Africa and nearby oceans, with detection depending on live satellite availability and local storm activity.

phone would freeze and I kept having to restart my phone. phone got really hot, too. I have a Samsung s25 ultra so it shouldn't have done that.

What’s new

• Rewrote the app in every language so it reads naturally, with plain wording in place of technical terms.
• Clearer safety wording: hail size is now stated as a radar estimate, not a ground measurement.
