WalkingBible is a private initiative to help with memorisation of Scripture. Music is a very powerful tool to help with memorisation. It is said that people in the modern world know some 2000 songs or parts of songs, but very few can recite a single verse from the Bible, a poem or any other text. By creating melodies to over 800 Bible passages we wanted to make it easier for you to commit them to memory. Scripture, memorised, allows the Holy Spirit to put God's Word to use in your life. The Holy Spirit will bring to your remembrance the words of Scripture just when they are especially needed.

You can browse by book of the Bible or by topic. The Bible verse appears with text, music and image (choose between photo or cartoon). Use the Add-to-list-function to collect your own unique set of verses, group together your personal favourites or use this tool to create a set perhaps for your next home group, or bible-study group. Use the simple colour-coding system to mark how well you know the verse. Should you want to focus on one particular colour, simply select the colour group you wish to rehearse.
