WHAT RADAR WIFI DOES
Scans the Wi-Fi networks within reach of your phone and shows each one with signal, band (2.4 or 5 GHz) and security type. Open networks come first, with a button to connect. On the 5G tab you see whether you are on 5G, 4G or 3G, the signal strength in dBm and a direct shortcut to the system screen where 5G is enabled, with a step-by-step guide per manufacturer. There is also a speed test with history and diagnostic tools: latency, DNS and stability.
HOW TO USE
Open the app, tap Scan and see the networks around you. Tap an open network to connect. On the 5G tab, tap "Turn on 5G in settings" and follow the guide for your phone.
LIMITATIONS
The app lists networks within reach of the phone and connects only to open networks or ones you already have access to. It does not provide passwords for other people's networks. Enabling 5G depends on the phone, the SIM and carrier coverage: the app shows what the system reports and opens the right setting. When there is no active 5G measurement, the app shows 4G and notes that 5G is available there, even if the system icon already shows 5G. Android limits how often scans can run; the app shows when the next one is allowed. A measurement that did not succeed appears as a dash, never as a zero.
PERMISSIONS
Android requires location permission to list Wi-Fi networks. It is used on the device only and never sent. The phone state permission (Android 12 or earlier) is used only to identify the mobile network type.
ADS
The app is free and shows ads.
