Generator for No Man's Sky generates names for all the four categories: planets, star-systems, animals and plants. It does that with some deeper understanding of how these things are named in the real world. Several algorithms and rules then transfer that base knowledge into truly randomly generated names.

A complexity slider can be used to switch between 3 levels of complexity. If you like short names, go for the lowest complexity - but if the name can't be complex enough, then aim for maximum complexity.

Ratings and reviews

Each name you generate could literally come up for any of the 4 categories...It's just a completely random letter and word generator, regardless what you're hoping to name. I've generated names with sss in it, or aa, aaa...it doesn't take anything into consideration as far as I'm concerned. I can pick a bunch of random letters that can't be pronounced as a name, I don't need an app for that.

None of the names show up when i press the generate button, is there some sort of bug in the app? I'm using the latest google pixel phone.

Its a Great little app and takes all the geusswork out of naming things in nms !! I highly recommend it!!!
