TrueTime: Solar Clock

About this app

TrueTime is a clock that follows the sun instead of the time zone.

Sunrise is always TT 06:00. Solar noon is always TT 12:00. Sunset is always TT 18:00. Solar midnight is TT 00:00. To make that work every day of the year, TrueTime's seconds stretch in summer and shrink in winter, so the 12 hours of daylight always fit between sunrise and sunset.

• Live solar time, ticking at today's solar-second pace
• Nightstand clock: a full-screen bedside clock with live solar seconds. It stays on while charging, turns dim red after sunset, and resizes when you rotate your phone or open a foldable
• Solar reminders: get a notification at a solar time, like "2½ hours after sunrise"
• Sunrise, solar noon, sunset and solar midnight for today, in both solar and clock time
• Pick any city to see its solar time

Private by design: your GPS position never leaves your phone. TrueTime has no accounts, no ads and no tracking. It only goes online when you search for a city.
