Ratings and reviews

Not as useful as it should be. This app connects a remote thermometer to essentially the capable computer we all have in our smartphone. It will tell you the temperature of your food, and if you select the kind of food it will tell you what you should cook it to for safety and the correct doneness. It doesn't, however, do any of the steps in between. It should be telling us when to flip the food, how long to rest it, and anything needed to make the food perfect. This all really needs an upgrade!

Such a helpful tool! The graph view is great for predicting cook time. It works well when I'm in the kitchen near the device. Improvements that would really help: 1. The device lights are not easy to see, especially outside in the sun. I've often run out of batteries because i didn't realize I'd left out on. 2. Bluetooth isn't very strong, so I lose connection and the app doesn't clearly tell me I'm disconnected. So it's not good for monitoring a pork shoulder smoking in the grill outside.

App works overall. I can monitor temps throughout the cook process. It does disconnect, but I think that's because I get too far away from the device. The main issue I have experienced is it won't let me get passed the doneness temperature screen with several different cuts of meat. Example is the rib eye roast won't let me select the temp and move to next screen. I have to pick a different cut of meat to set the temp.
