I have been using SecureAnywhere by Webroot for many years. When the company switched over to Carbonite I began having problems with installation. When a new update was released I was not able to activate or contact the company for weeks. I was finally able to contact the company after several attempts via phone and email and finally able to update and install the new version. Recently I renewed my subscription and I'm having problems activating the code AGAIN.

There use to be two separate apps. One a secure browser and the other the antivirus. One of the updates merged them into one, & I feel like it's a downgrade. The antivirus app use to let me see what permissions the apps on my device had and would take me to where I needed to go to change those permissions. Now that (along with a few other options that I can't remember) are gone & we're just left with a click to scan button that doesn't work offline, that now won't even work on my new phone.

This was once a great app that I've used for years, but all that changed with my 2021 to 2022 renewal. The renewal download is not user friendly, and the app for my Android mobile changed completely to a scan only option offering no information as is available on my desktop. It also didn't recognize my existing account when I renewed at that time. I'm on auto renewal, so this year (2023) I let it go through in the hope they had cleaned it up. NOT! This is my last year with Webroot. Good-bye.
