Ratings and reviews

I give it 5 stars because it is an animators' app. (But it also has the best Android brush engine I've seen.) The fact that it has glitches after updates and a clunky interface do not override my love for how it feels to use this app. It feels better than the more stable mainstream painting apps that tack on onion skinning. This app is simple, fast, and fit to purpose.

Amazing animation app. I love the timeline and being able to choosing how changing frame lengths do to the rest of the layer. Though I'd like to suggest adding more shortcuts. Like 2 finger tap to undo. My screen is very small so it's difficult to have the tool bar open to undo while drawing. But I can't flip back and forth while in full screen cuz my volume buttons are set to undo/redo. And maybe locking layers? I keep accidentally moving different layers.

My experience using this app to create game art animation assets has been excellent! RoughAnimator can work great when designing custom cutscenes for game development, and it makes transitional scene animations a lot easier than some apps do and have tried in the past. Overall, buying this app was worth the investment in the long run. I recommend it as one of the top animation software tools out there. I always like to have multiple animation & digital art apps to make up my creative toolset.
