I was about to take it off, re-box, and send back to the store because it would not connect, could only sometimes find the lock and/or wifi setting up with Android on my Google Pixel 6 phone. Wrestled with it for two hours without success. Then I tried with my wife's iPhone 6 plus. Worked first time. There are some definite problems with this app, but the hardware works well.

There must have been an update that fixed the problem I was having. Not only does my lock hold onto its wi-fi signal better, when it does lose connection, it will reconnect on its own now without me having to do a factory reset every time. I'm relieved at this. After two years of disappointment, it's finally working as expected. Not awarding five stars because of the aggravation.

One issue that occurs randomly and often is that you will use app to open or lock door and app and hardware become entranced. App will just continue saying updating status forever. Closing, restating app does nothing. Hardware will also be in weird state where you hear the motor each time you turn the deadbolr. And it has nothing tm to do with the battery or, wifi because the app sends a correct notification each time you lock unlock. So it does know the status but keeps saying checking status.
