The WellBeNet application helps us to better know you and to mesure your daily physical activities, your food choices and your emotional states.
The accelerometry data collected by your smartphone allow estimating the intensity of your physical activities and the associated energy expenditure.
Your food choices allow calculating nutritional balance score.
The choice of a silhouette and emotions allow estimating body mass and emotional balance.
This application is only available for the volunteers who have account on ActivCollector : https://activcollector.clermont.inra.fr and who participate to research projects.
Please note that WellBeNet works correctly on Android phones for which the accelerometer needs to stay active when the phone is sleeping. A compatibility check is executed during the first launch, and models known not to work correctly are reported via Google Play. If your phone does not work correctly, please send us an email to let us update the list of incompatible devices.
A workaround consists in deactivating automatic sleeping mode in your phone's parameters, but note that it will drain your battery much faster than usual.
For information, here are the reasons of the permissions required by eMouveResearch:
• Modifying USB memory content: the app collects and stores accelerometry data on your phone.
• Managing accounts : the app creates an account linked to ActivCollector.
• Full network access: in order to communicate with ActivCollector and to send your data to INRA.
• Run at startup: for activating the process of data sending, if needed.
• Prevent phone from sleeping: in order for the app to collect data when the phone is asleep.
• Synchronisation : used to synchronise your account's data.
WellBeNet has been developed by the Human Nutrition Unit of INRA in collaboration with Limos and the University Hospital of Clermont-Ferrand.
