Whistle smart devices give you a 360º view of your pet’s overall health by tracking and monitoring their unique health-related behaviors, fitness, GPS location**, and more—right from the Whistle app. You’ll get actionable science-backed insights that are unique to your pet, so you can make smart, informed decisions for your furry family member.

*Health Trends*
Your Whistle smart device tracks your pet’s scratching, licking, sleeping, eating, drinking, and overall Wellness Score. If changes in their patterns might point to potential health issues, you’ll get notified so you can take action.

*GPS Location Tracking*
GPS, Wi-Fi, and cellular networks work together to inform you of your pet’s location at all times.

*Customizable Safe Places*
Create boundaries for your pet’s Safe Place locations. Plus, you can manage multiple Safe Places for home, office, or your favorite dog-friendly spots (Wi-Fi is required).

*Escape Alerts*
Get a text, email, or notification when your pet leaves one of your designated Safe Place locations without an approved friend or family member.

*Activity Tracking*
Help your pet get the exercise they need with customized fitness goals based on their breed, age, and weight. Know your pet’s calories burned, distance traveled, minutes active, and more.

Ratings and reviews

The app was a little glitchy, but it has improved. It is exactly what I am looking for as a health trends, activity, and occasional GPS locator. Please note approx 30% charge is needed to use the GPS locator for 15-20min so you may want to charge the device more frequently so it doesn't get too low. With normal activity however, a charge lasts approx 2 weeks. Fully waterproof!!

I have three and not a single one ever has any health data. They have also gotten worse on tracking. Multiple times I've needed to locate and all I ever get is having trouble connecting. Two I've had for several years, just added a puppy and new GPS, same issues, plus bonus that it has to be recharged twice as often as the older devices. Subscriptions are coming up for renewal, won't be keeping these.

I agree with a lot of these reviews. We upgraded our Whistle for our cat thinking it would track better. It is much worse: doesn't track as well, goes into home mode even when he isn't in the borders set in the app, always wants us to turn on our phone 'location'. We receive frequent pings that put us in a total panic showing our pet a mile away when he is actually nearby. We've reached out about these issues but they persist. Would not get this again.

What's new

This release is all about notifications!

You can now control notifications per pet. For example, you can have your neighbor's dog in your app and turn off prompts to walk them or charge their Whistle battery.

Journaling has been a huge hit. You can now receive a reminder to journal on a schedule you choose.

Finally, notifications for non-critical things will now only come during the daytime.
