Betify
Betify is the classic map-colouring game of combinatorial game theory, rebuilt as a calm, bright duel against a real computer opponent. The board is a clean grid of tiles. You claim tiles in teal, the machine claims them in coral, and you always move first. The single rule is deceptively deep: you may colour any empty tile, but never one that sits edge-to-edge with a tile you already own. Your colour can hug the enemy freely, yet never itself. The player who runs out of legal tiles loses, so you win by boxing the machine into a corner with no move left.
Twenty levels rise from a roomy four-by-four grid to a tighter five-by-five, and the machine searches deeper and plays sharper the further you climb. Every board is generated to be winnable with clear thinking, and the endgame is solved perfectly, so the computer never throws a won position and never cheats. Play cleanly and beat the clock for three stars, bank coins, and press on.
No timers pushing you, no pay-to-win, no random luck. Just a fair, quiet contest of foresight you win by planning one move further than your opponent.
