Hey everyone, I built Wireless Webcam because I was frustrated with the existing webcam apps out there. I just wanted to use my phone’s amazing camera for video calls and streaming without dealing with lag, forced watermarks, or bloated software. Since I couldn't find exactly what I needed, I decided to build it myself as a passion project.

HOW IT WORKS

Wireless Webcam uses WebRTC peer-to-peer technology to stream
directly from your phone to any browser on your local network.
No cloud relay. No account. No cables.

The entire control panel is a single page served from the phone
itself. Resolution, framerate, bitrate, zoom, and audio — all
adjustable in real time from your browser without touching
the phone.


NO SOFTWARE TO INSTALL ON YOUR PC

Every other wireless webcam app requires a desktop client.
Wireless Webcam does not. Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari —
if it has a browser, it works. Scan the QR code from a
second device and you're connected in seconds.

AUDIO

Wireless microphone capture over the same connection.
Hardware echo cancellation, noise suppression, adjustable
input gain, and adaptive feedback suppression built in.


LIVE TELEMETRY

The browser panel shows pitch, roll, yaw, compass heading,
GPS coordinates, CPU temperature, battery level, codec,
live FPS, and bitrate — updated in real time. Useful when
the phone is mounted somewhere out of reach.

PRACTICAL PROTECTION

- Thermal throttling — steps resolution down automatically
at high device temperatures to protect your hardware
- Pocket detection — proximity sensor pauses capture if
the phone is pocketed accidentally
- Power saver mode — blanks the screen after a configurable
delay without interrupting the stream
- Motion detection — drops to idle quality when the scene
is static, saving battery and bandwidth
