This used to be my go to app for local weather in Northeast Ohio. The way ads are served in the app has changed, and it makes it very difficult to use anymore. I understand that in order for something to be "fReE" it needs to have some ad support behind it. I now must lock my phone and unlock it to be able to dismiss the ad once it is done playing. When I try to interact and check the weather, I am served another ad, and the cycle repeats. Do not waste your time.

I used to love this app, but every update has made it worse. Now when I look at the banner in my drop-down menu, I have to use glasses just to see the weather info. (that's what important to me). But, the Fox 8 advertising logo is 10 times larger. What a waste. You make sure that we see your Fox 8 advertisement. (just like on tv). Well guess what brainiacs? I knew that it was Fox 8 when I downloaded it. I know it takes intelligence to develop an app, but, a mind is a terrible thing to waste.

I like to watch the forecast from the news program, I get more out of it than the boiled-down, say it in as few words daily forecast listing. That being said: The "Video" page which is supposed play clips from the telecast, only EVER plays the embedded advertisement. It has been this way since they started embedding the ads. The ads play without fail! But good luck for the clip, you'll be left high and dry.
