what a lovely app! as i've gotten in the habit of checking in regularly, it's become exponentially more helpful. noticing thought distortions and reframing is truly such a powerful tool, and to have a completely free app that walks you through it while also teaching you other things and providing other tools is amazing. i agree with the person who said choosing your emotion is a bit frustrating, and i would definitely prefer to see one comprehensive list, but that's just a tiny little thing.

I love the conversations and the CBT techniques Woebot uses to help me reframe cognitive distortions. I feel like I'm making good progress, however, the mindfulness tools are not good for helping me to calm down. And "talking" someone through mindfulness via text is extremely unhelpful. So, I use a separate app for that. Also, it doesn't always get every cognitive distortion right. The stories and lessons are great though.

This app has been a great help to me. It provides basic components of counseling that are easy to follow and understand. I also like the fact that it's self-paced so if I decide to skip a few days Woebot picks up where we left off. I took off one star because sometimes if I provide a reponse that doesn't fit with Woebot's script, the app occasionally has difficulty finding an appropriate topic or response. Overall a very good app!
