Living alone shouldn't mean feeling alone. Simple Life Check is a supportive wellness tool designed to ensure that if something unexpected happens, your loved ones are notified quickly. It provides a safety net for older adults or anyone managing physical or emotional challenges, offering peace of mind for both you and your family.

🛡️ How It Works
Simple Life Check is a recurring wellness timer. At your chosen times, the app will:
1. Sound a gentle alarm for ten minutes.
2. Display a prompt asking you to tap and confirm you are okay.
3. Notify your contacts if you don’t respond. Your selected friends, family, or even 911 will receive a text automatically.
Note: This app is a wellness check system and does not replace 911 or professional emergency services.

📲 User Setup Guide
Follow these four phases to get your system up and running.
Phase 1: Managing Emergency Contacts
• Access Contacts: From the home screen, tap My Contacts.
• Add Contacts: * Tap the Blue "Add" button to type in a name and number manually.
o Tap the Green "Import" button to choose someone from your phone’s existing address book.
• Verify Status: Ensure the Medical Bag icon next to the contact is Red. This confirms they are active emergency contacts.
Phase 2: App Permissions (First-Time Only)
To work correctly, the app needs your permission to send alerts:
• SMS & Notifications: When prompted, select Allow so the app can send alerts to your contacts and show you reminders.
• Alarms & Reminders: If a system screen opens, toggle the switch to ON, then use the back arrow to return to the app.
Phase 3: Scheduling Your Life Check
• Set Schedule: Choose the days and times you want to be checked on.
o Tip: Use Select All for daily consistency. You can set multiple checks per day (e.g., 9:00 AM and 8:00 PM).
• Confirm: Tap the red Schedule button. It will change to "Scheduled" once successful.
Phase 4: Responding to an Alarm
• Acknowledge: When the alarm sounds, tap the large red Acknowledgment button.
• Completion: Once dismissed, you can close the app. It will continue to run in the background until your next scheduled check.

⚙️ Android Troubleshooting (Android 14 & 15)
Newer Android devices have strict "Full-Screen" settings. If your acknowledgment screen isn't appearing correctly, please check these settings:
