Meet Write2Alphabet. Enhanced by captivating letter shaped pictures, it teaches alphabet letters, sounds, names, phonics and handwriting all at the same time. Write2Alphabet is an industry-leading early learning tool. This interactive app quickly teaches children all the foundations for learning to read, write, and spell.

Write2Alphabet matches the alphabet letters to pictures that children love in the shape of the letters. It uses pictures that begin with the letter’s sound. This helps children gain a strong memory for the sound of the letter. They hear and watch the mouth pronouncing the letter sound, before practising the sound, and objects that begin with that sound. This helps with pre-reading skills such as phonemic awareness - hearing the beginning sounds in words.

The Write2Alphabet pictures also help children to remember the shape of the letter and how to write it correctly without reversals. It uses ‘Writing Talk’ which the app audio teaches and the child says out loud. This guides the direction of the child’s hand as they write the letter. Traffic lights on the letters help with direction – green means ‘go’, yellow means ‘wait or change direction’, and red means ‘stop’. Young writers use their fingers, or a stylus pencil to practise, so as to memorise the handwriting movements in muscle memory. This makes writing movements become quick and instinctive. The app doesn’t let the child write the letter incorrectly - it stops them and and then repeats the correct way to write the letter, before the child practices again.

Write2Alphabet groups the lowercase alphabet letters into similar letter shapes, with similar handwriting movements. For young writers this ensures repeated practice of the same handwriting movement to help handwriting become automatic. It also prevents letter reversals.
