It's been great for years, but now ads are popping up as you're trying to use it. Very annoying to constantly close pop-ups. May have to switch weather apps. What a shame. 😕 Update: nbc12's app seems to have removed their pop-ups, so I'm switching back to 12's weather app! 2025 update: Switched back to this app and the pop-up ads were gone. Now they're back yet again! So once again, I'll switch to nbc12's app until they start their pop-ups back! Basically, just switch apps every year!

The forecast changes with the wind. I believe the ai behind the updates, which will fluctuate within an hour from 10 to 100% chance of rain, need to be updated or use differwnt models.Maybe the AI has been programmed with too much reddit. The channel six label is slapped onto a non-local generic app and marketed as the channel's own. Put simply. Use a different app anf carry an umbrella even when rain is forecasted. as 0 %.

I've tried different weather apps for the Richmond, VA area, and must say that I prefer the WTVR one best. We tend to get quite a bit of rain/storms in the Richmond area, and it's rather important to be updated of any changes or alerts. The only problem I have with the app, is sometimes the radar goes blank. It would also be great if barometric pressure is added. People with conditions affected by inflammation, especially migraines are affected by the slightest drop in barometric pressure.
