WWGI Shield is the strict blocking companion app for WWGI Platform members who want an extra recovery barrier against online gambling access.

Shield helps approved WWGI members reduce relapse risk by using local VPN-based DNS filtering, risky app detection, strict-mode activation, Device Admin protection, AccessibilityService-assisted protection repair, and accountability events connected to WWGI Platform.

Shield is intended for people who deliberately choose stronger recovery support. The app can work with WWGI Platform when installed, or use direct WWGI account sign-in when Platform is unavailable. Approved review and WWGI-supported accounts may receive included Shield access. Other users may need an active Google Play subscription.

AccessibilityService API disclosure:

WWGI Shield uses Android’s AccessibilityService API only after the user gives clear in-app consent and manually enables the service in Android settings. WWGI Shield is not an accessibility tool for disability support.

AccessibilityService is used for Shield’s core recovery-protection function while strict protection is active. It helps Shield detect Shield-related settings screens, supported browser activity, and protection-risk situations so the app can show recovery interruption screens, guide the user back to Shield setup or repair screens, and record limited accountability events for WWGI support.

WWGI Shield does not use AccessibilityService to read passwords, payment details, private messages, typed text, contacts, call audio, or personal conversations. It is not used for advertising, analytics, remote call recording, deceptive UI control, or unrelated monitoring.

Any protection-related events sent to WWGI are used only for recovery accountability, support follow-up, troubleshooting, safety auditing, and maintaining the Shield protection service.

VPN disclosure:

WWGI Shield uses Android VpnService to create a local on-device VPN DNS filter. This VPN is used to block known gambling domains on the device. It is not a general privacy VPN and does not sell, monetize, or redirect user traffic for advertising.
