The app is clean and privacy-focused, which is great. However, I'm not receiving any notifications for new messages in the notification panel. My friends message me but no alert appears, even when the app is closed. I have granted all permissions, disabled battery optimization, and allowed background activity, but the issue remains. Please fix push notifications for messages as soon as possible. This is essential for a messaging app. Looking forward to an update!

I don’t receive any alerts or notifications at all when someone messages me. I only find out I have new messages when I manually open the app. But notification work smoothly when message come form an I phone x chat user and other Android user . this issue only is with one particular account Please fix this bug as soon as possible.

If you already use Twitter/X, there's no reason to have this app. X already has chat features, and XChat adds nothing new to this concept. It's just X without the Feed, Grok and everything else except direct messaging. For me, logging in was difficult, but I managed it in the end. I hope to see improvements in the future.
