Vent is a private emotion journal that asks you to look back.
You record what happened and which emotions it triggered. A few days later, once the heat has gone out of it, Vent reminds you to open that entry again and answer one question. Was that reaction proportionate, or an overreaction?
Nothing you write leaves your phone. No account, no sign-up, no server, no analytics, no ads.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Record an event: what happened, an optional detail, and the emotions behind it
• Choose from eight emotion families (anger, fear, sadness, joy, disgust, surprise, love and calm), each with sub-emotions and an intensity from 1 to 10
• Get a reminder days later, at a delay you choose, to reflect on that entry
• See your patterns: emotion radar, streaks, weekly and monthly trends, overreaction rate, and an improvement trend over time
• Keep a quiet check-in reminder if you have not opened the app in a while, or switch it off
• Pick from four color palettes in light, dark or system mode
• Use it in English, Croatian, Spanish or Italian
• Export your journal to a file and import it back whenever you like
WHY LOOK BACK
In the moment, every reaction feels justified. Days later, some of them don't. Vent gives you that distance. Over months you start to see which situations you read louder than they were.
PRIVACY
Vent collects nothing. There is no account to create and no data sent anywhere. Your journal stays in the app's storage on your device, protected by the operating system's sandbox, and it is removed when you uninstall. Export a backup file if you want a copy you control.
Vent is a journaling tool. It is not a medical or therapeutic service and is not a substitute for professional care.
Private emotion journal. Record what happened, revisit your reaction later.
