Nagarik App (translation: Citizen App) is a mobile application launched by the Government of Nepal to provide government-related services in a single online platform. The app was developed to facilitate an easier, systematic, and simplified delivery of government services to Nepali citizens digitally. The app was launched to play a pivotal role in revolutionizing the way citizens interact with the government. It offers a wide spectrum of government services through a single unified platform, minimizing the need for citizens to navigate multiple channels or physical offices for their diverse needs of government services. The services are added gradually according to the needs and services required. The government aims to reduce the physical queues and the need to be physically present to get services from the different government offices and promote digital transactions. One can get services online round-the-clock even during holidays. As of now, 25 services are included in the app, ranging from Police Clearance Report to Voters Card.

Ratings and reviews

I am facing an issue while uploading documents in loksewa education. When the PDF file exceeds the size limit, the app only shows a generic message like “Try Again” or “Upload Failed.” It would be much better if the app clearly mentioned the maximum allowed file size (e.g., “PDF size should be less than ... MB”). This would help users understand the issue instead of guessing. Please add a proper file size limit notification in the next update. Thank you.

I am very disappointed with the Nagarik App. If digital documents cannot be used for voting or official verification without showing a physical citizenship card, NID, or passport, then what is the real purpose of this platform? A digital identity system should reduce paperwork and make services easier, faster, and more reliable. When traditional documents are still required everywhere, the app feels incomplete.

App is not in function since genz movement, after the movements whenever i login it says 4 devices are connected. However, it was working in same device before genz protest. I don’t where to complain the number the provide don’t get connected and email doesn’t response.
