🔈 Note- Microphones in most Android devices are tuned for the human voice, so readings are estimates, not calibrated measurements. Readings stop at about 90 dB: anything louder is shown as ≥90 dB (saturated).

Exposure to high levels of noise can lead to permanent hearing loss. This app gives you an everyday estimate of how loud it is around you. It is not a calibrated instrument, so do not rely on it to decide whether a place is safe for your hearing.

Ratings and reviews

It has a real time running line graph(I'm not sure what that is called), which I really can appreciate. It also monitors the highest, average and lowest decibels for each session. The free version doesn't save as far as I know, but they have a premium version that I believe is saved to the cloud. I just needed it to check the noise level at work for one day and now I check the strangest places🤷‍♀️🤣 just out of curiosity. I've learned I watch television WAY too loud! 🤣🤣

Seriously, an ad after every single tap. Want to go into settings? Watch this ad first. Open a menu? Wait, gotta watch this ad first. It opened four different ads literally less than 30 seconds after opening app for the first time. Uninstalled not even a minute after downloaded. I understand the need to generate revenue when you don't pay for the pro version, but there is also such a thing as moderation.

The ads are horribly annoying especially if I only have 3 days to try it for "free". If this is what I should expect after paying to disable the ads... What are the ads like without the free trial? Yikes. I was able to get a couple readings that were fairly consistent... But I don't see this as a lasting app. It was uninstalled after using it twice.
