You get a custom lawn journal where you can track your lawn tasks along with when and what products you applied. Whether you applied to your front yard, back yard, side yard or boulevard you can track each independently.

Within the Lawn Journal you can also upload photos to track the before and after progress and set reminders for yourself so you don’t miss upcoming tasks.

Ratings and reviews

Update: The recent update resolved the issues I observed. Changed rating from 2 to 5 stars. **Original*** I was happy this app, but now, not so much. The journaling feature has become borderline unuseful. It used to work without issue, but now it is a struggle to view entries for dates other than the current date after completing the entry for the current date. Sometimes logging out and clearing the cache resolves the issue, other times not. Removing and reinstalling has a simar success rate.

I like the ability to add pictures to the journal. When takling trouble spots in the lawn that don't seem to improve, it is nice to objectively look back and observe the slow changes over time. What I find frustrating is that I have had a Yard Mastery shopping account that will not for some reason, sync with the app, and to order within the app, it won't recognize I have been a customer. I thought shopping and especially tracking orders would be more convenient.

The application is great for tracking your home lawn care. I use it mostly for tracking when I put my applications down and record weather data and ground temps if needed. I would have given the Yardmastry app a higher rating but I've come to notice a few bugs. The journal entry feature, the Months are not in Calendar order, they are in alphabetical order so April is the first month instead of the 4th. The calendar should show most recent date at the top. It also keeps logging me out.
