YAWMI is the Muslim app that follows your day: prayer times with the adhan, qibla, Quran audio, a halal scanner, mosques nearby, and an Islamic Companion that cites the Quran and Sunnah. Six languages, no account required.
The essentials of your day
Prayer times follow the recognised calculation methods, including ISNA, Muslim World League, Umm al-Qura, Diyanet and Karachi; YAWMI picks the one for your country, you set the Asr school and the Iqama delay. With no signal, salah times are still computed on your phone.
The azan, or athan, plays on time with the voice you prefer, including Mishary Rashid al-Afasy. Turn on the reminder before prayer, choose which prayers to notify and follow the countdown to the next namaz.
The qibla compass gives the bearing and the distance to Makkah. The Quran reads in Arabic with the Saheeh International translation, plays with five reciters verse by verse with follow-along highlighting, and resumes where you left off. No ad banner on the Quran tab.
The Hijri calendar and its Islamic dates, and the Hadith of the Day with its reference, wait on the home screen.
What makes YAWMI different
Halal Scanner: halal or not? Scan the barcode or type the product name: an indicative verdict, halal, not halal or to verify, produced by fixed rules with the sources checked, never by AI. If the ingredient list is missing, photograph the label: reading happens on your phone and no image is sent. Only then does Explain with AI detail the reasons, and alternatives are suggested.
Islamic Companion: ask your question, get an answer drawn from the Quran and the authentic Sunnah, with the grade and reference of every hadith quoted. When the sources say nothing, the Companion says so too. An educational tool that never decides for you.
Nearby: the mosques and halal restaurants around you, with distance, open or closed, directions and the map.
My day: based on what you have already done, it suggests the morning and evening adhkar, a moment of Quran, a few Arabic words or one question. During Ramadan the tab becomes Ramadan: fasting times, a daily question and the last ten nights.
Knowledge: Memorise the Quran, with memorization goals, spaced revision, downloadable audio and word by word. Quran Tafsir, verse by verse, in English, Arabic and French.
