Pure Himalayan cashmere and pashmina from Nepal, handmade in Pokhara by 180+ artisans.

Cashmere Store is the official shopping app of Yes Helping Hand, an ethical cashmere social enterprise founded in 2011. Every sweater, shawl, poncho and blanket is made by hand, and every order funds free job training and fair-trade work for single mothers, differently-abled artisans and marginalized communities.

WHY THIS CASHMERE IS DIFFERENT
- Grade A Himalayan cashmere, 12 to 15 microns
- Fiber from Chyangra and Changthangi mountain goats grazing between 3,000 and 5,000 m in Mustang, Manang and Dolpo
- Hand-combed during the spring molt, never sheared, so it stays animal cruelty free
- Yarn handspun, shawls and blankets hand-woven on traditional wooden looms, garments hand-knitted
- Certified low-impact and plant-based dyes such as madder, indigo and walnut
- Every piece washed, blocked and inspected one at a time

FASHION WITH PURPOSE
Yes Helping Hand began in Pokhara in 2011 with a simple idea: teach a skill and you change a life. Free training programs have since given more than 180 people a craft and a fair wage, among them single mothers, artisans who are deaf or hard of hearing, members of the third gender community and people with disabilities. The workshop is open to visitors, and profits help fund special education schools in Nepal.
