Does not connect 80% of the time. Have to be crazy close. VERY slow. Honestly a wired or instant read is much more convenient. Loses connection constantly, no way to force it to look for probes, can't even see temps on phone from 25' on phone (both set up on home wifi mesh network which is pushing 150+ mbps over 150 yds away from house so it's not my internet). Insanely overpriced for a very poor performing thermometer. Do not waste your money!

worked somewhat the first few times I used it, but completely NOT worth the money now. It's way to likely to not charge the probes, loose connection with the probes 2 feet from unit, numbers completely gone from all 3 probes. Wonderful idea, just poor quality and reliability for the price. I won't buy another one.

CHEF iQ products are well thought out and integrate well with each other. We have the oven and 2 probe set. The probe set comes with a wifi rechargeable box that keeps the probes charged. The probes are capable of 1000 degrees and when used with the oven, the oven picks them up separate of the app. The app is handy to see cook times on what you are cooking either on the grill or in the oven or the CHEF iQ oven itself. Set it and forget it. I highly recommend their products.
