Yle Areena is Finland's most versatile streaming service. Series that everyone is talking about, podcasts that will take your mind off your everyday life, and live shows that you have to watch.

In addition to the best series, films and documentaries, you can also watch Yle's TV channels live. In between podcasts, you can also listen to all of Yle's radio channels.

With Android Auto support, you can use Yle Areena in your car.

The application works on all Android phones and tablets that use the Android 7 operating system or newer. There is also an Andoid TV version of the application.

Overall a good app, it would be more stars if it was more visible which programs that have english subtitles as an option. Ive not seen swedish subtitles ever, our SVTplay usually have option for finnish subtitles. upt rew, im sorry yle, but still (year later), very few shows have subs in swedish/english. also noticed the icon for text can randomly dissappear, wont show again even after reloading app. same on web and app. thats also a way to miss out on subtitles.cmon yle!SVT have working subs

Couldn't get the app to work. Every time I open it, it loads for multiple minutes in the logo screen or hungs there forever. And when it sometimes actually opens, searches and everything else takes a long time. Also, I have never managed to actually start any stream from the app when I finally manage to find the program. Every other streaming app works quickly and I can view streams from areena website, so the problem is not with the internet connection. Edit: yes, I'm using the latest version

Nice-looking app, but usability suffers as the podcasts are not easy to handle. If I stop listening or are thrown out, I need to click many times and then try to remember how far I got in the program. Further, to get to the latest episodes of interesting programs, I have to go to my favourites, then click the program and finally the right episode. I used to listen to Areena podcasts via Google podcasts but unfortunately that doesn't work anymore. It's a better app for podcasts.
