• Confirm the address via the app when it has been added to Gitlab
• Once the address is verified by Gitlab it's time to set it as the default notification address and voilà!

This approach lets you customize all your notifications settings directly from gitlab.com!
Chose what you want to be notified via Gitlab preferences or simply by manually changing the notification toggle on single Merge Requests or Issues

The UI is excellent and everything but I cannot just add an email to my account.

Wrost, I even not able to login with the correct authentication Credentials. very very bed
