About this app

This is the official Hybrid Calisthenics app built around the Hybrid Fitness Routine.

There are 2 main exercise sections:

1.) The Routine - Walks a new person through every step of the routine. Where to start, what exercises to do, how to do them, how long to rest, how many sets to do, etc. It asks you how many reps you've done and tells you when you're ready to move on to harder movements. Great for beginners or those who haven't used the Hybrid Fitness Routine before!

2.) Movement Library - Pick and choose any exercise in the Hybrid Routine. You can use it as a reference to read or it'll walk you through the sets, rests, and reps similar to The Routine. Great for more advanced users and those very familiar with the Hybrid Fitness Routine. We'll continue to update and build to make this great for you!

You can get healthy, fit, and strong with just your body and gravity!

This is Hampton writing this, by the way. Does anyone read these? Maybe I should start offering coupon codes hidden in the text. For now, comment DRAGONFRUIT anywhere on social media and I'll know you went the extra mile. It'll be our secret. Have a wonderful day!

Performance of the app has gotten worse with each update. Additionally, the routine really needs an option for whether the user wants to move to the next progression in an exercise or not. Maybe we want to stay at level 3 of the current exercise for a bit to build up more strength, or maybe the next level is physically impossible (like the Full Twist) depending on your body type or certain disabilities. Very frustrating in an otherwise decent app.

Apr '25 update: I like this app! I appreciate having simple bite sized movements. It makes the whole *exercise* idea much less daunting. There are a couple issues though. Sometimes when I'm on the log movement screen, the gif of Hampton doing the movement won't show up. I use the gif as a tempo reference for my reps. The logging system is kind of clunky all around. Also I wish there were links to video tutorials in addition to the text tutorial.

so far the app is excellent. the staff takes to heart what people are asking for and adjusts. I would like to see a timmer for some of the stretches added. there is a timer for rest but I haven't found one for the active parts of the exercise. I know it would take a lot of work. I would like a audio guided option. last thing someone mention the premium is the same cost as a normal gym, no it's not. planet fitness has a 10$ a month but 90% of the time they tack on 80-90$ in the background.
