Finally, a way to open the url links I've saved on my windows desktop. Restores a feature I've missed since Windows Mobile. Thank you! :) Note that opening .url files in Total Commander offers stuntzurl as an app to "Open with" but Solid Explorer's list of "Open with" apps doesn't include stuntzurl (7.1.1 on Note 8).
It works. I told the file manager to open with Stuntzurl every time then I told Stuntzurl to open (my browser, Firefox) every time. Now all urls open straight from the file manager in Firefox without any other action. Just what I wanted since no browsers want to import Favourites any more. Spiffing.
Oh my god, so much searching for something that should be possible by default. Thanks!
The last hope App to open Bookmarks URL
Is there a version for Ubuntu
App doesn't work for 6.0, Marshmallow. I now have thousands of .url links that I can no longer open. I will at once rate this app 5 instead of 1 once it's been updated. When it worked, this was a truly great app. UPDATE: .urls on my device still won't open. BUT if I open them using a secondary app (ES File Explorer File Manager) then stuntzurl works. So I'm giving this app a 4 instead of 5 since it forces me to use another app along with this one.
- now requires Gingerbread (2.3) as a minimum
- added support for Nougat
