Good for certain photos. the upscaling is really nice for any animated pictures or logo files. but the built in enhancer for camera shots has too much predictive upscaling, giving the photos especially faces an uncanny look. sometimes oversharpens an image until it has way too much noise. it is an issue because there is no slider to reduce the amount of editing the app does. so if a photo looks too ai/glossy, you don't have any options.

this is extremely useful for restoring old photos! But there's one thing I don't understand.. sometimes it'll process very quickly, other times it'll become a matter of minutes. If you reboot the prog ON THE SAME IMAGE it will suddenly only be a few seconds of processing. Why? What's it trying to do (or failing to do) that makes it take far, far longer? edit: A HALF HOUR for an image. reboot and it's suddenly done in twenty seconds. This is really sketchy.

Excellent. I was adventurous & got Pro version at its remarkable price before testing. It needs online connection at first to download the option software, as, amazingly, the app works offline (not everyone has easy online connections!). Gives you jpg or png, output size choices, several different algorithms for the kind of photo enhancement needed. i needed tiny newspaper text (1023x1475 jpg) deblurred & found 2046x2950, fast, jpg, 'photo upscaling' worked admirably. Well worth the investment.
