I've had my S50 for about a year now and never had a problem connecting to it from my S24+ Android phone or my iPad. With this latest update, that is no longer the case. My connection will drop randomly and I cannot get reconnected. The additon of EQ mode is awesome but it is useless if I cannot control the device. If I can get connected and get a capture session started, at least it will continue even after the connection drops, but I can't switch targets or even shut down the Seestar.

Almost great I would give it 5 stars (no pun intended), but it will not allow me to create an account. it will not send a verification code to my email address (yes, I checked the spam folder). Also, if I enter my phone number in ANY format, it says it's in the wrong format. So, no 5 stars.

The perfect gateway into astronomy. The S50 can easily outperform outdated visual telescopes in under 5 minutes per celestial object, with views surpassing those from a 10-inch telescope. All the while, using a medium with which you are already familiar, such a your smartphone or preferably a tablet. This is called EAA electronically assisted. Astronomy and smart scopes are the future of amateur, astronomy and basic astrophotography. The Seastar S50 moves amateur astronomy into the future.
