I've had my S50 for about a year now and never had a problem connecting to it from my S24+ Android phone or my iPad. With this latest update, that is no longer the case. My connection will drop randomly and I cannot get reconnected. The additon of EQ mode is awesome but it is useless if I cannot control the device. If I can get connected and get a capture session started, at least it will continue even after the connection drops, but I can't switch targets or even shut down the Seestar.

I have mixed feelings: my S50 and the app have been amazing, but the last few updates have been really buggy. Eg wifi constantly drops/reconnects, problems with the app connecting, and issues with alignment in the southern hemisphere. Those seem to have been fixed with the latest update, but now my S50 is charging really slowly. I'm not sure given that I'd therefore recommend Seestar to everyone. It's OK if you're happy with a beta version experience, and not OK if you want it to just work.

Literally, I have 3 typewritten pages of problems with the S50. It's been sent to ZWO for repair, but nothing was done. The S50 software was optimized for iPhone ONLY, I'm told there are just too many versions of Android for them to get it right. Amazingly, other companies don't EVER have this obstacle to making a fully functional app. So many problems I can't begin to list them here. I'm using the latest version of Android, have a new pricy Samsung tablet & 2 of their most powerful phones.
