About this app

The ČSOB Smart Key will make it easier for you to log in and confirm payments in internet banking, as well as card payments in e-shops, or remote verification when calling the Infoline or a bank branch. You don't have to wait for a confirmation SMS and then rewrite the code from it. With the Smart Key, notifications will pop up immediately and you will confirm the request with a fingerprint or numerical PIN.

Ratings and reviews

Works (so far). Utterly lacking in security, even though you are forced to use it. You can choose to login with biometrics, which is laughably easy to misuse by a malicious party gaining possession of your phone, or a five(!) digit PIN. Five digits exactly, mind you, you can't even pick something longer and thus at least marginally more secure. The idea that all someone needs to steal my money is either a finger, or a simple five digit code is frankly terrifying.

disgusting. Can't be used to reactivate a key at all. It is impossible to scan your ID, always throws error about it not being recognized. Even the chat bot on recommended number for help is unable to hear something as simple as date of birth. After years of use seems like ČSOB technical departments went down the drain.

The app asks you to wait for sms but never sends. The after exploring hidden clues you proceed to web where you don't get sms again. I know, I know, app login is unexplored feature never any one successfully built in human history. But your device is going to be scanned. That went well.
