Spellhex Trail is a pixel-art action game in which you guide a spellcaster through dangerous fantasy levels and fight monsters with magic spells.
The game is played in real time. You move your character through each level, avoid enemies, use spells, collect rewards, and try to survive until the end of the stage. Every level contains groups of enemies with different movement and
attack behavior. At the end of each level, a boss fight tests your movement, timing, and use of spells.
Your spellcaster can unlock and use four different spells. Each spell has its own attack style and can help in different situations, such as fighting groups of enemies, attacking from a distance, or dealing damage during boss
encounters. Choosing when to use a spell is an important part of the gameplay.
Between runs, you can upgrade your character to become stronger. Upgrades help you survive longer, defeat enemies more effectively, and improve your score. The game is designed for short action sessions, but also supports
replayability through highscores and character progression.
Spellhex Trail includes three handcrafted levels. Each level has its own layout, enemy combinations, and boss encounter. The goal is to learn enemy patterns, improve your spell timing, collect rewards, upgrade your character, and
reach better scores over time.
