About this app

The boostech BMS App enables connection to compatible boostech battery management systems via Bluetooth Low Energy.

With the app, you can clearly view current measurements and operating statuses of your battery system and transfer supported settings directly to the BMS.

FUNCTIONS (depending on BMS model and software version)

• Display of cell voltages and temperatures
• Display of total voltage, current, and state of charge
• Display of warnings and system statuses
• Monitoring of charge and discharge release
• Configuration of supported BMS settings
• Management of multiple paired boostech BMS units—one device connected at a time
• Generation of a local diagnostic report for technical troubleshooting

CLEAR TEXT WARNINGS
The app displays warnings, protection shutdowns, and system statuses as readable text, not as numerical codes. You can see which cell is affected and what the BMS is currently enabling or disabling.

BACKGROUND CONNECTION
If desired, the connection remains active while you use other apps. Android requires a permanently visible notification for this – the function can be disabled and is off by default.

DIAGNOSTIC
Diagnostic information is stored exclusively locally on your Android device. A diagnostic report is only created and shared if you initiate this yourself via the share function. It does not contain passwords.

REQUIREMENTS
• A compatible boostech BMS
• Bluetooth must be enabled on the BMS display – it is OFF by default
• Android 10 or later
• Bluetooth 4.2 or later. Older phones cannot pair with the BMS; Google Play cannot filter for them.

WITHOUT COMPATIBLE HARDWARE
A compatible boostech BMS is required for operation. Without such a device, only the built-in simulation can be viewed – it shows example values ​​and is intended for testing.

NOTICE REGARDING LOCATION PERMISSION
On Android 10 and 11, the operating system only shares Bluetooth search results if location permission is granted. The app does not determine or save your location. This permission is no longer required on Android 12 and later.

The available functionality may vary depending on the BMS model, the installed firmware, and the enabled features.

BETA
The app is currently in open beta testing. Feedback is expressly welcome, especially regarding connection problems and devices we have not yet tested.

Erste öffentliche Testversion.
Bluetooth ist am BMS ab Werk AUS. Am Display unter „Add-ons → Bluetooth" einschalten, sonst findet die App kein Gerät.
Beim ersten Verbinden fragt Android per Benachrichtigung nach der PIN: Leiste herunterziehen und antippen. Die PIN steht am BMS-Display.
Live: Zellspannungen, Temperaturen, Ströme, Ladezustand. Ohne BMS zeigt die Simulation Beispielwerte.
