With the free Post & DHL app, the most important postal and parcel services are at your fingertips at any time and anywhere on your smartphone or tablet - from purchasing stamps or parcel stamps to tracking shipments. As a registered customer, you benefit from additional advantages.

TRACK
• Shipment tracking including barcode scanner
• All shipments at a glance including delivery time and detailed information
• Book all available delivery options for a shipment
• Letter announcement: Free announcement of letters that will be delivered shortly, including envelope photo and push notification
• Show shipment status for letters (e.g. registered mail or priority mail) and goods mail
• Scan matrix codes on stamps before sending and use basic tracking for letters
• Find out more information about the stamp and the motif after scanning
• Save and manage up to 10 programs
• Push notification about the current status of the shipment and new letter announcements
• DHL Live Tracking: Track shipments in real time on a map including countdown and delivery time window

Additionally for logged in users:
• Store and manage up to 100 shipments

FRANKING
• Purchasing postage for parcel and parcel shipping within Germany, the EU and the world
• Booking function for pick-up orders
• Access to local and online address book to select recipient and sender addresses
• Combine shipping stamps in increments of 10 as needed to create a savings set and save up to 20% on shipping costs
• Payment function via PayPal, credit card or direct debit
• Display of a QR code for free printing of the mobile parcel stamp in branches, at packing stations or at the delivery person
• Display the parcel stamp as a PDF for printing or forwarding as an email
• Cancellation function for purchased shopping carts
• Display of shopping carts from the last 30 days
• Request postage for postcards, standard letters, compact letters and large letters in the app, pay online and immediately use it as a mobile stamp or internet stamp
• Determine the appropriate postage with the help of the postage advisor

• Synchronization of DHL Online Franking shopping carts for the last 30 days
• Save your favorites in your DHL customer account

LOCATIONS

PACKING STATION
• Details about Packstation shipments (including collection code)
• Operate app-controlled packing stations via app
• Display of the location where the package is ready for pickup

It just never works. Every time it asks for scanning a card or code I didn't receive and every time I have to actively ask for it. That's because digitalisation doesn't exist in Germany. One always have to wait for a paper envelope like in the 90's. Edit: after calling, they confirmed that my already activated device needs to be activated again for no reason (they also don't know why). 5 more working days waiting for a paper envelope.

In the last 2 years, this App has worked fine. Tracking of letters and packages work well. The only problem in recent months is an error with pick-up instructions and statuses at a packstation. The App showed pick up procedures at a Bluetooth-controlled packstation which didn't work at first. After several attempts, the packstation compartment finally opened. Another Amazon-related problem: I picked up a package, but the Amazon App still showed package not picked up!

The app remains utter garbage. I had to jump through hoops so that I could verify my identity and have packages sent by default to my chosen Packstation. Should be easy, right? No. I got an email from a package and it's set to be delivered to me on a day and time that I won't be at home---as always. The email client, the website, and the app only give me the option to set the drop off location but NOT to have the packet sent to my Packstation because "it's not registered" But it is.
