Klangbiber is the learning app for young wind players aged 8 and up in German, Austrian, and Swiss wind orchestras.

Playful and to the point: Klangbiber accompanies you in your daily practice – with exercises based on the Junior 1, Junior 2, Bronze (D1), Silver (D2), and Gold (D3) levels, plus an advanced level in harmony theory.

Junior 1 and all practice tools (tuner, metronome, circle of fifths, fingering charts, maintenance) are free. You can unlock further exam levels as needed via in-app purchase.

🎓 FOR THE BADGE EXAM
Many clubs and associations call the exams Junior Musician Proficiency Badges, or JMLA for short – depending on the region, also D-level exams or proficiency badges in bronze, silver, and gold. Klangbiber covers the theory and aural skills required for these levels and is intended as a supplementary practice aid for home use: it is not an official app from any association and is not a substitute for lessons.

🎷 9 INSTRUMENTS
E-flat alto saxophone, B-flat tenor saxophone, B-flat trumpet, B-flat clarinet, C flute, F horn, tenor trombone, tuba, and tenor horn (switchable treble and bass clefs). All with correct German notation (B = Bb, H = B natural).
