About this app

LarasSpa is a quiet retreat for your phone. The app shows you your own app usage, helps you with focus sessions and lets you set voluntary daily limits. Everything happens locally on your device.

LarasSpa is built differently from most apps:

- No registration. No account, login or email address required.
- No cloud connection within the app. LarasSpa has no internet permission and does not itself transmit any data to servers.
- No cookies, tracking, advertising, analytics SDKs or crash reporting.
- Usage patterns, focus sessions and limits are stored in a local database on your phone.

What LarasSpa does:

- Today: Your total usage today, a comparison with yesterday and your five most-used apps. Directly from Android's usage access, visible only to you.
- Focus: A quiet session with a duration you choose. No pressure, no blocking, no punishment. Completed sessions are counted locally.
- App limits: Set a gentle daily limit for individual apps. A limit is an invitation, not a ban. LarasSpa does not block apps or use overlays or an AccessibilityService.
- History: See your patterns over time, stored locally.
- Reflection: Two short, optional questions to help you better understand your usage patterns. You can skip either one.
- Settings: A transparent privacy status shows you at any time that there is no internet permission, no data transmission and that everything is stored locally.

Why this app works locally:

- Digital wellbeing only works with trust. An app that knows your screen time should never send that data to a server. LarasSpa is technically unable to do so.
- Android's usage access (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS) is used exclusively to let you view your own usage on your device. You grant permission in Android settings and can revoke it there at any time.
- An export is created only when you start it yourself in settings. You choose where to save it using Android's file picker. If you choose cloud storage, its provider receives the exported file.

What LarasSpa does NOT do in this version:

- No app blocking, forced lockouts, overlays, AccessibilityService or device administrator features.
- No push notifications, advertising or in-app purchases.
- No Firebase, Crashlytics, cloud sync or account.

LarasSpa is free and will stay free.

Languages:

- From version 1.0.2, the app is available in German, English, French, Spanish and Italian. You can choose the language in settings.
