We bring specialists directly into your living room via Telemedicine 2.0!
The MedKitDoc system enables digital medical consultations on a completely new level: Through the use of specially trained specialists and the almost real-time transmission of health data from medical devices from the MedKit during the video call with the doctor.
WHAT MAKES MEDKITDOC SPECIAL
We use our MedKitDoc system as part of the video consultation. The MedKitDoc system contains certified medical devices and includes
- Stethoscope for listening to lung and heart sounds
- Multifunctional device for ECG, oxygen saturation and temperature measurements
- Blood pressure cuff to check your circulation
The devices connect via Bluetooth to the MedKitDoc app on your smartphone or tablet. This allows the doctor to listen to you and hear your lung and heart sounds during the video call with the stethoscope, for example.
Via the easy-to-use MedKitDoc app, patients can quickly and easily request appointments with specialists from all over Germany:
- Direct access to qualified and trained specialists in various fields.
- Prescriptions for medicines and remedies
- Sick notes after digital consultations
- End-to-end encryption of patient data
- Specialist referrals and forwarding of data if desired
Use of the MedKitDoc app and the hardware devices that can be connected to it extends exclusively to the area of validity of the Medical Device Regulation, namely the EU.
In health emergencies, a doctor must always be consulted first under the emergency number 112. The same applies if the doctor advises this within the video consultation.
MedKitDoc Engine
The MedKitDoc Engine is Modul of the MedKitDoc App and supports the diagnostic decision-making process by presenting vital parameters from the patient and transferring them to the doctors. The data is generated by the certified medical Multi-functional-device (for temperature, ECG and oxygen saturation).
One of the functionalities of the MedKitDoc Engine is the presentation of the captured patient temperature data from the connected medical device during a live video consultation with the medical doctor. In case a certain threshold is exceeded, the MedKitDoc Engine creates an alert.
The video consultation is paid for by the German statutory health care, since MedKitDoc is a certified video consultation according to the “Bundesmantelvertrag – Ärzte Anlage 31b”. Listed for the first time on the list of certified video consultation providers of the “Kässenärztliche Bundesvereinigung (KBV)” on September 16th, 2021.
