ottonova Krankenversicherung AG is Germany's first fully digital private health insurance. With the ottonova app you can always get in direct contact with your insurance and you get your bills reimbursed quickly and easily – without any paperwork.

The ottonova app provides these services for our clients:

- Get help and answers to questions about your health and your insurance through the chat
- Get vouchers for access to medical advice or research treatment methods, surgeries, clinics and pharmacies with the help of our Agents

- Have a video consultation with a doctor from our Swiss partner eedoctors
- Avoid spending time in waiting rooms and get a first diagnosis at home

- Track important events such as doctor's appointments and related documents
- Access your personal health timeline at any time

- All available and future health checkups are clearly displayed
- Never miss any important preventive medical examination again and stay healthy longer

- Upload invoices, certificates and medical documents to the app using a photo scan and submit them digitally
- Enjoy quick invoice processing and service settlements

plus customer support is great app is easy to use to be improved would like to be more independent when it comes to cancel and schedule appointments on your own (maybe like an integration with docto lib?) I would like to see some of the documents provided with an English translation if if such translation was not legally binding (maybe an integration with deepl)

I rarely see such a bad user experience. I have used private insurance in other countries and with different apps& never seen something that bad. Every time you tell them they just ignore you or answer badly like "this is how it is here". There is no linking with any practice so you cannot directly book an appointment, there is no way to look at practice close to yourself, appointment are booked at random days/hours and random location. I could go on and on about everything which is wrong.

The app is okay, but I'm more unhappy with the service behind. Especially the data protection part. They will have someone calling you and control your computer to register an account, but when you decide not to use their service, they refuse to delete data

Hi I g, we don't refuse to delete data, we are legally obliged to store it for a certain time. We inform applicants about it in the registration process. Besides, we certainly do not control your computer or influence anything. We use a co-browsing tool to guide you through the sign up process. Hopefully we've been able to dispel your concerns.

- In the documents section, you can now see how long it will take to process your submitted invoice.
- The display of your to-do section is now clearer.
