The "Archive for Criminology" is now the oldest criminological journal in the world with over 120 years.
The magazine publishes articles that deal with the diverse areas of modern crime-fighting. In addition to the latest knowledge, practical issues - including case studies - are duly taken into account to help those who are involved in this difficult and often tedious work. The "Archive" also offers numerous reports and communications, overviews of relevant publications and book reviews published in other magazines.
The first issue of the magazine founded by Hanns Gross as "Archive for Criminal Anthropology and Criminalistics" was published in September 1898 by the F.C.W. Bird / Leipzig. The publisher Schmidt-Römhild has been in charge of the magazine "Archive for criminology under special consideration of judicial physics, chemistry and medicine" since 1955.
The "Archive for Criminology" is published by Prof. Dr. med. Marcel A. Verhoff, Institute of Forensic Medicine, Frankfurt / M .. The magazine in DIN A5 format with many colored and b / w illustrations is published six times a year.
