The GPS tracking & analysis app for wingfoiling, windsurfing, kitesurfing, sailing and 10+ more watersports.

WindsportTracker records your sessions on Android or Wear OS – with precise GPS data and algorithms refined for over 10 years for watersports. Instead of just the track, you see maneuvers, speed, planing and flight time, plus your progress across the season.

As a wingfoiler, you see flight time, foil phases and when you are really flying. As a windsurfer, you compare jibes, power jibes and speed runs. As a kitesurfer, you analyze wave rides, course distribution and session speed.

RECORDING & IMPORT:

• GPS recording on an Android phone or Wear OS – also offline without mobile data.
• Automatic import from Garmin, Coros, Suunto and Polar.
• File import: sessions as SBP, SBN, GPX, FIT, TCX, OAO, GPY or VKX.
• Track editor: trim the start or end – e.g. when recording stopped too late.

• Planing & flight time: how long and how far you were planing or flying vs. displacement – on a foil or classic planing.
• Wave ride stats: number, length and type of your wave rides – from best wave to longest ride.

• Statistics: days on the water total, per year and month; jibes, power jibes, failed maneuvers.

Ratings and reviews

Updated the app and now shows trial period ended and the back button has no effect. edit after response: You can say it is not related to the update, but the effect is the same. I used the app for months, and suddenly a 27 days trials pops up. I understand monetization, and I love when you can keep the app ads free, but losing access to your old runs does not feel completely honest. I often upgrade to premium content, but not having a free tier is a deal changer imo.

Some great new features with the paid version, frequent updates and very responsive to queries. Real-time voice alerts for speed is a game changer for improving technique and the upwind VMG analysis is awesome. Hopefully we'll get real-time voice feedback for VMG soon 🤞It's got really useful DW run analysis for parawinging. Well worth supporting the devs, well done 👏

I really enjoyed using this app, I used to share to it from other tracking apps for a few different metrics, but unfortunately had to choose between the other app and this when it became a subscription based model, and I can't justify the cost of both. Uninstalled for now

What’s new

- Share: Recommend the app to friends with one tap.
- Statistics: Details for downwind and upwind runs.
- Analyzer: Version 15 – sessions must be reanalyzed. Better 360 detection (incl. short/fast) and maneuvers for sailing and land sailing.
- Recording: Improved on Android phones and watches.
- Feedback: Vibration on new max speed (Apple Watch & Android watches).
- Minor bug fixes.
