About this app

Wingfoiling, Windsurfing & Kitesurfing is a lot about feeling. The feeling when you get planing/flying, when you sail in waves higher than you, or when you just enjoy a ride during sunset. When you are back on the beach, you have a feeling about your session. Was it good, was it bad, was it fast. But mostly you don't know why something was good or bad.

With WindsportTracker you can:

→ track / record your wingfoil, windsurfing, and or kitesurfing sessions with GPS / Glonass / Gallileo or Beidou.

→ analyze your sessions about jibes, speed, planing/flying distances etc.

→ optimize your gear, which tuning is better for jibes, or speed. Which sail is your fastest or which board planes best. Which foil have the lowest stall speed.


If you are a wingfoil, windsurf, or kitesurf beginner you can see how you get planing/flying more often, and how your jibe ratio gets better.

If you are a wingfoil windsurf, or kitesurfing amateur you know which gear you rented and which was your most successful, to get an idea of what to buy.

If you are an advanced wingfoiler, windsurfer, or kitesurfer, you can tune your gear, and see how your planing/flying jibes get better and better and how you get faster.

Record / track your wingfoil, windsurfing and kitesurfing sessions:

* import GPX or SBP files (see the link below for sample data) from other GPS devices

* record your session with doppler speed accuracy (waterproof bag for your mobile is needed)


Analyze your wingfoil, windsurfing / kitesurfing progress:

* session duration, planing /flying, non planing and resting

* see distance, planing/flying and non planing

* how many jibes you did, planing/flying, non planing, and missed

* how many days have you been on the water, overall, yearly, monthly

* see 10 best max speed, 5x avg. and 10x avg. speeds for: 2s, 5s, 10s, 1h, 24h, 100m, 250m, 500m, 1NM, alpha 250, alpha 500 and alpha 1000


Optimize your wingfoil, windsurf / kitesurf gear:

* see in how many sessions you used it, overall, yearly

Ratings and reviews

Updated the app and now shows trial period ended and the back button has no effect. edit after response: You can say it is not related to the update, but the effect is the same. I used the app for months, and suddenly a 27 days trials pops up. I understand monetization, and I love when you can keep the app ads free, but losing access to your old runs does not feel completely honest. I often upgrade to premium content, but not having a free tier is a deal changer imo.

Unclear description on what remains available if you don't subscribe after the first month. No menu option for wing foiling.

Great app, liking the voice speed prompt, great reviewing of speed details, but would like the ability to delete old tracks and would like to be able to investigate over sections of the tracks, to be able to see my up wind sections, not just my top speed sections. Also the colours on the tracks have no correlation with the speed sections
