Every AI assistant is building a profile of you that you cannot see, edit, or take with you. Helix is that profile, owned by you.
Helix is a vault holding the facts about you that you have reviewed and approved. Assistants read from it instead of guessing, and when one learns something new it proposes the fact into a review queue that only you can accept.
WHAT THIS APP DOES
This app is how you manage your vault from your phone.
- Review — approve or reject what assistants propose about you, one at a time
- Vault — read and edit your facts, mark anything private, organise with labels
- Access — see every app that can read your vault, and cut any of them off instantly
- Audit — see every read, with the app that made it and when
NOTHING IS SAVED WITHOUT YOU
Assistants cannot write to your vault. They can only propose, which places one item in your review queue. If you never look at the queue, nothing changes. Rejecting is as useful as approving, and both are recorded.
YOUR CONTEXT IS PORTABLE
Built-in assistant memory is locked to one company and does not come with you. Your Helix vault is one set of facts that any assistant speaking the Model Context Protocol can read, so switching between them costs you nothing. You can export everything as JSON at any time.
SCOPED ACCESS, NOT ALL OR NOTHING
You choose which categories each app can see: identity, work, projects, preferences, relationships, and how you like to be written to. Labels narrow it further, so a photo app can know about your dog and nothing about your job. Anything you mark private is never returned to anything.
EVERY READ IS ON THE RECORD
Access is written to a hash-chained audit log you can verify from this app. If an entry were altered or removed, verification fails and you are told.
OPEN BY DESIGN
The vault is open source under AGPL, the format and protocol are published as a spec, and you can run the whole thing on your own server. The point is that you should not have to trust us.
