About this app

Aves can handle all sorts of images and videos, including your typical JPEGs and MP4s, but also more exotic things like multi-page TIFFs, SVGs, old AVIs and more!

It scans your media collection to identify motion photos, panoramas (aka photo spheres), 360° videos, as well as GeoTIFF files.

Navigation and search is an important part of Aves. The goal is for users to easily flow from albums to photos to tags to maps, etc.

Aves integrates with Android (from KitKat to Android 14, including Android TV) with features such as app shortcuts and global search handling. It also works as a media viewer and picker.

Been using for a week or two. Enough features to meet my needs: basic editing (sometimes), attachment to messages (sometimes), and transfer to temporary web storage (occasionally). Collected Aves because Google Photos keeps bugging about their auto' photo storage. Responding 'no' once should've been enough, but prompts appear after each little app' update. Then 'new' Google sharing feature prompts started. Moving on. Thanks Aves.

The app was working very well until it's past update. Now when I go to move or delete photos or videos from my download album to a different album, it gives me a pop-up saying I need to give aves permission to move stuff around... Which is normal. But now it says "for your safety choose a different folder" and now it doesn't let me select anything so I have a build up of pictures to delete that I can't... Please fix it

It's fixed in the latest release v1.11.16.

Uses standard metadata fields for tagging and searching which means the data goes with the file when you transfer it back and forth! It also supports the standard 5 star rating system so I can now do keywords and ratings that stay with the photos! Lots of settings and access to data. When I tap edit within this app, I can set the editor to the Google Photo Editor and all my extra editors I have downloaded but not the Samsung photo editor. I hope there is a way.
