About this app

Aves can handle all sorts of images and videos, including your typical JPEGs and MP4s, but also more exotic things like multi-page TIFFs, SVGs, old AVIs and more!

It scans your media collection to identify motion photos, panoramas (aka photo spheres), 360° videos, as well as GeoTIFF files.

Navigation and search is an important part of Aves. The goal is for users to easily flow from albums to photos to tags to maps, etc.

Aves integrates with Android (from KitKat to Android 14, including Android TV) with features such as app shortcuts and global search handling. It also works as a media viewer and picker.

Absolutely phenomenal Gallery app, very intuitive, clean, smooth, and almost perfect for me! There's a few things that I would like to see. I would like to see the Bottom Navigation Bar fully customizable in terms of themes and being able to place the options in any order in addition to placing more things on the Bottom Navigation Bar. Same thing with the main Navigation Menu. I would love it if we can place it closer to the bottom left of the phone screen. 😊

Truly an awesome option for a gallery app. Great for organization of photos and videos. My go-to. However, one of the most recent updates made the "favorites" feature less intuitive. It seems that "favorites" is now its own collection rather than a sorting feature. This means favorited items won't be sorted by collection when viewing them as they used to, and will be sorted by date. I'd appreciate it greatly if this change were reverted or an option to sort favorites by collection is added.

Edit: Hi, it's mostly the sound that starts to become distorted after playing a video & sometimes it stops if I click the pause button, but it just keeps going if I don't stop or exit out of the video. The app also tends to freeze whenever this happens, so it makes it harder for me to exit out of the video & it's a bit frustrating. Because, well, the sound is so jarring.
