LEDSPEED transforms Deportec's LedSports photocells into a pocket-sized speed lab. Set up the gates on the court, choose the test, and the app measures automatically: each beam interruption is transmitted wirelessly with millisecond precision, eliminating the need for a handheld stopwatch or paperwork.
WHAT YOU CAN MEASURE
- Linear sprints from 10 to 100 meters, with splits every 5, 10, 20, or 30 meters.
- 180-degree shuttle run: a 20 or 30-meter round trip, measuring the speed drop during the turn.
- Agility: 5-0-5 test, 5-0-5 with approach, pro-agility, L-shaped and T-shaped runs, with measurements per side and comparison between right and left.
- RAST: six consecutive sprints with rest periods recorded by the photocells themselves, maximum power, minimum power, and fatigue index. - Lap timer with splits at each gate.
HOW IT WORKS
The photocells communicate with each other via radio, and one acts as the coordinator, so all times are recorded from the same device: they don't depend on the phone or signal. You turn on the gates, the app finds them, you number them with a tap, and they're ready. The start can be manual or with an audible signal, and in that case, it also gives you the reaction time.
THE ANALYSIS
Each run is saved with its athlete and date. The app then shows the evolution of each time, with a real-time progress bar to avoid confusing progress with stopwatch noise, the speed per segment, the daily ranking, the strength-speed profile, the comparison between different sections, and the team's percentile ranking. The graphs appear automatically when there is enough data; when there isn't, the app tells you what data is missing instead of drawing an empty graph.
DESIGNED FOR THE COURT
Everything is saved to your phone first and then synced, so it works even without a signal. Groups and athletes are shared with SportPlanner and the rest of the Deportec apps.
WHAT YOU NEED
LEDSPEED requires Deportec LedSports photocells for measurement and a Deportec or SportPlanner account to save the results. Without the photocells, the app won't measure: it's not a finger stopwatch.
