About this app

Nerdy Weather is a free, open-source weather app for people who want more than a temperature and an icon.

CURRENT CONDITIONS, IN DETAIL
Temperature and feels-like, plus a separate in-sunlight temperature reading based on measured solar radiation. Humidity, pressure, and cloud cover each expand into a 24-hour history chart. Tap the wind card for an animated wind rose built from 15-minute direction data, plus an hourly speed/gusts forecast.

14-DAY FORECAST
A scrollable strip of daily conditions, precipitation probability, and highs/lows — with 14 days of history you can scroll back into. A temperature chart shows the high/low band with peak and trough markers. Tap any day for UV index, precipitation, wind, sunrise/sunset, and daylight duration.

24-HOUR FORECAST
15-minute resolution for the next day, plus the past 24 hours. Tap any slot for dew point, visibility, precipitation, and wind detail.

AIR QUALITY & POLLEN
European AQI, UV index, nine pollutants (PM10, PM2.5, CO, NO2, SO2, O3, aerosol optical depth, dust, ammonia), and six pollen types (alder, birch, grass, mugwort, olive, ragweed) as easy-to-read bar charts, with hourly AQI/UV history available on tap.

BUILT FOR HOW YOU ACTUALLY USE IT
• Multiple saved locations — search by city name, keep favorites, long-press to remove
• Full unit control — Celsius/Fahrenheit, and five wind speed units (m/s, knots, ft/s, km/h, mph)
• Four color themes, dark mode, and a "disable animations" accessibility switch
• Android home screen widgets — current conditions, forecasts, and clock-style layouts, always in sync with the app
• English, Latvian, Romanian, and Russian localization, following your device language
• Pull-to-refresh and automatic sync on launch and location change

PRIVACY, DONE SIMPLY
Nerdy Weather doesn't ask for your GPS location — you search for a place by name instead. There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads, and no trackers. Weather and air quality data come from the open Open-Meteo API and are cached locally on your device. Full privacy policy: https://gitlab.com/enuage/nerdy-weather/-/blob/main/PRIVACY.md
