About this app

Every walk, run, ride and road trip you've ever tracked, on one map.

Years of activity history end up scattered across watches, apps and old export files. HoldMyTrack brings it together and turns it into a picture: everywhere you've been, and just as clearly, the streets, parks and trails nearby that you haven't explored yet.

ONE MAP OF EVERYWHERE YOU'VE BEEN
• Normal mode shows your tracks, narrowed to any date range with a slider
• Fog of War covers the map and clears it wherever you've gone, with smooth edges instead of tiles
• Heatmap shows where you go most
• Tap any activity to see its route colored by pace

BRING THE HISTORY YOU ALREADY HAVE
• Health Connect: exercise sessions and their GPS routes from apps that write them
• Files: GPX, FIT and TCX, a .zip of them, or a Google Health export
• Google Maps Timeline: import the export from your phone, choosing the days and the kinds of trips (drives, walks, rides…) to keep

RECORD WHEN YOU NEED TO
One button records a plain GPS track: a dog walk, a forest walk, a road trip. GPS only, and only while you choose to record. HoldMyTrack is not a fitness tracker. If you already track on a watch, keep doing that and bring the result in.

STORIES
Keep a trip as one thing. Pick the activities of a multi-day hike, a holiday or a race weekend, give it a name and a description, and get its own map and combined totals.

PHOTOS ON THE ROUTE
Add your photos to an activity and each one is placed on the route where it was taken, worked out from when it was taken, and you can move it by hand. Only a resized copy is kept, with all metadata stripped.

SPOTS
Playgrounds, dog parks, monuments, viewpoints and historic sites from OpenStreetMap, shown as map layers. Stand in one for 30 seconds with the app open to capture it: a private mark that you went out and found it.

YOUR OWN PROGRESS
A daily activity grid, year by year, and trends for distance, moving time and elevation. Only you can see them.

YOUR DATA, ON YOUR TERMS
• No health data. Heart rate and other body signals are never read, stored or shown. From Health Connect, HoldMyTrack asks only for exercise sessions and their routes
• Private locations: tracks never start or end inside the circles you draw, so nobody can trace one back to your door
• Edit, split or delete any activity and its track
• Download a copy of everything, any time
• No social feed, no followers, no public profile
• No ads, and your data is never sold

FREE, FOR EVERYONE
Every account gets every feature. There are no tiers and no subscription. HoldMyTrack is paid for by the people who use it, and its accounts are public.

Try it without signing up: start a demo account and explore a map that's already full.
All your outdoor activities on one map: Fog of War, Stories, Spots. Free.
